1. Overview

Ancora Planner ("we", "our", or "us") is built with a strict privacy-first and local-first architecture. This Privacy Policy explains how our application and synchronization services handle your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a transparent understanding of how your data is collected, processed, and secured.

2. Information We Collect and Process

  • Account Information: When you register an account, we collect an email address or username and credentials required for authentication. For household member profiles, accounts can be provisioned using non-personally identifiable usernames.
  • Planner & Schedule Data: Your tasks, routines, reminders, and lists are stored locally on your device storage. When cloud synchronization is enabled, encrypted delta payloads are synchronized with our secure backend server to keep your devices in sync.
  • Google Calendar Integration (Optional): If you choose to connect Google Calendar to Ancora Planner, our application requests access to view, edit, and synchronize your calendar events. This data is obtained securely via Google OAuth APIs.

3. How Google Calendar Data is Used

We access and modify your Google Calendar events strictly to display them within your personal planner interface and allow you to update event schedules directly alongside your Ancora Planner agenda. This allows you to view all your commitments in one place and effectively plan your day.

We do not use your Google Calendar data for any other purposes. Specifically, we do not sell, rent, or transfer your Google Calendar data to third parties, nor do we use it for advertising, marketing, or training artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Ancora Planner's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5.  Google API Data Protection & Security

  • Data Protection in Transit and at Rest: All data exchanged between Ancora Planner and Google APIs is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2/1.3). Any locally cached authentication tokens or calendar data stored on your device or servers are encrypted at rest using standard encryption protocols (such as AES-256).

  • Data Minimization & Usage: Ancora Planner only accesses calendar event information strictly necessary to display and synchronize your schedule. We do not use Google user data for advertising, nor do we sell or transfer this data to any third parties.

  • Data Retention & Deletion: Users can disconnect Google Calendar integration at any time from within the application or via their Google Security settings. Upon disconnection or account deletion requests, locally stored Google tokens and associated calendar cache data are permanently deleted from our systems.

6. Data Storage, Retention, and Synchronization

All your agenda entries, planner data, and connected calendar events reside primarily on your local device's secure storage. When backend synchronization is enabled, encrypted delta payloads are synced to our secure servers to enable cross-device synchronization. Synced data is retained on our cloud servers only for as long as your account remains active.

7. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data, schedule items, or Google Calendar data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or tracking companies under any circumstances. Data is only processed to provide the functional planning services of Ancora Planner.

8. Account and Data Deletion

You have full control over your data and can request deletion at any time:

  • In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated cloud data immediately by opening the Ancora Planner app, navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This action purges your cloud profile and local database.
  • Web/Email Deletion Request: If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access your account, you can request manual deletion of your account and all associated data by visiting our Account & Data Deletion Page or sending an email to [email protected]. Please include the registered email address or username. We will process your deletion request and purge all synchronized data from our servers within 7 business days.
